Mortgage Advisor

Overview:

An experienced mortgage advisor or mortgage broker is required to work alongside a team of estate agency staff in Torquay, dealing with 7-10 new mortgage leads per week, as well as providing full access to the existing database of clients, with the opportunity to write 2-3 mortgages a week, earning £250 to £600 per case, due to our clients sliding commission scale.

Main Duties:

• Working in a market leading estate agency office in Torquay, as an experienced mortgage advisor or mortgage broker you will offer whole of market mortgage advice as well as having access to a strong panel of protection providers.
• Working with the team, you will receive 7-10 new hot mortgage leads a week, plus have unlimited access to a largely untapped existing client base, who require a remortgage service.
• Dealing with the leads in a professional and timely manner, you will deal with the clients face to face, over the telephone or virtually, where you will be targeted to write 2-3 mortgages a week.
• The average property size for the Torquay area is over £300k and on average 50 properties are sold per month in the area.

Key Skills:

• As you will be the sole mortgage advisor or mortgage broker working within the Torquay branch, an excellent knowledge of mortgages and the various products is essential along with the CeMAP qualification (or equivalent).
• Applications will be considered from individuals from a tied, Independent, or banking mortgage environment providing that they can show a good track record in mortgage sales, if the CeMAP, CF6 or MAQ qualification has been attained.

Summary:

Working as a mortgage advisor in the busy estate agency office in the Torquay area, you will receive 7-10 new hot mortgage leads a week, full access to the existing client base, a basic salary to £31,000 dependent upon experience, financial guarantees to £40,000 for 5 months, pension, dis, bonus & commission with the opportunity to earn £75,000 per annum.
