Mortgage Adviser/Trainee Financial Adviser

South East London and Kent

£55,000 - £80,000 OTE in year one

Are you a Mortgage Adviser who would like to develop your career into Financial Advice? If you’re looking for an opportunity to be supported in that journey and would like to develop as part of a flourishing and exciting firm, this could be the role for you.

If you’re at home in a progressive working culture, with leads provided and support from the business to enable you to build up your skills and confidence from being a Mortgage Adviser into Pensions and Investment Advice, this is frankly, what you’ve been waiting for.

You can continue to provide Mortgage Advice while you train and study and will benefit from a team providing outstanding training and thorough support for your own personal development. Additionally, you will have access to a large bank of existing and lapsed clients and will also be encouraged to, and supported in, developing new lead sources and obtaining referrals.

You will ideally be based within reasonable commuting distance of South East London or Kent but location can be flexible and a wide range of experience levels can be considered as the business is flexible enough to be able to facilitate both experienced and inexperienced candidates. The package would be equally flexible depending on the experience you come with.

The role can be offered on either an employed or self-employed basis.

What you’ll be getting involved in:

  • Assessing the needs of customers and individual circumstances, conducting a thorough fact find and establishing suitable products
  • Providing clients with sound Mortgage Advice
  • Maintaining accurate records for all customers
  • Discussing client protection needs and establishing product suitability
  • As training develops, contacting existing clients to book appointments and working to carry out reviews relating to pensions and investments
    • Delivering an excellent level of service on all financial advice, and working with clients to achieve excellent customer outcomes
    • Ascertaining the future financial planning needs of clients
    • Partaking in ongoing training and CPD
    • Obtaining client referrals and growing the client base to enable future development
    • Working to generate new business and maximising on lead generation opportunities
    • Meeting all regulatory requirements and working in line with FCA and industry standards

    The ideal candidate:

    • Will hold the relevant qualifications for a Mortgage Adviser and will be providing quality Mortgage Advice currently or recently
    • Will be qualified, or have a desire to become qualified, to Diploma Level 4 in Financial Advice
    • Will be passionate about establishing a long-term career in Financial Planning, investments and pensions
    • Will be confident talking to customers about their insurance needs and have a desire to offer quality Protection Advice
    • Will have a positive, driven, and most importantly, customer-centric approach to Financial Advice
