2024 is continuing to provide sustainable growth within OCU Group. Due to this continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Plant/Service Technician to join our team in Borehamwood.

The purpose of the role is to provide day to day support service and repair vehicle defects, plant equipment and small tools.

Working in a fast-paced environment with safety in mind to keep our fleet and equipment in the highest standards of quality and efficiency on all contracts across the plant and transport solutions.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • All personnel shall be committed to delivery of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality requirements defined in the current company policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining company owned assets.
  • Carrying out planned maintenance.
  • Carrying out reactive maintenance/breakdown in workshop and out in the field.
  • Carrying diagnostic/fault finding on all types of Plant and Transport.
  • Cleaning machinery/Vehicles.
  • Responding to emergency breakdowns.
  • Carry out any other duties appropriate for this post.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in PC operating systems (Word / Excel / Outlook).
  • Self-motivated, and able to work on own initiative; enthusiastic with 'can do’ attitude.
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to follow technical manuals and engineering diagrams.
  • Ability to work within a team or alone.
  • Be flexible to business needs.
  • Good problem-solving skills, the ability to anticipate potential problems and overcome them effectively.
  • Good understanding of customer service.
  • Previous experience within a plant and transport operation.
  • Customer Service Background.
