Mobile HGV Technician

Location: West Thurrock
Hours:Monday - Working 06:00 to 14:30 and 13:30 to 22:00 Mon-Fri with overtime and call out payments. 1 week early 1 weeks late + 24/7 call out (on Rota)
Salary: Hourly Rate up to £24.04 pr hr with overtime up to £36.06 pr hr OTE £80K

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our client's Mobile team. Our client specialises in fleet HGV Vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HGV's. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems. The ideal candidate will have worked a mobile role previously and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities
Prepare all vehicles for MOT.
Carry out preventative maintenance inspections ensuring all vehicles are safe and road tested.
Service and maintain all vehicles to the highest standard.
Whenever called upon, attend breakdowns.

We would like you to:

• Be educated to City & Guilds standard in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline is essential.
• Have experience as an HGV Mechanic working within a similar position.
• Holding an HGV C+E licence Class 1 and a current ADR is preferred but not essential.
• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of vehicles, trailers, workshop plant and equipment.
• Can resolve mechanical / electrical / pneumatic problems.
• Ability to multitask and achieve key deadlines.
• Demonstrate rigorous fault-finding skills.
• Be able to work under pressure.
