About The Role
Team – Data Engineering - Enterprise
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth or London Offices. Full time hours.

What this role is all about:
The ML Engineer role will be responsible for delivering the underlying data and APIs to support the implementation of innovative machine learning applications. You will enjoy working with rich datasets, cutting edge technology and help shape new data pipeline in an innovative company that helps people live healthier lives. The right candidate will possess a desire to consistently deliver exceptional results on set timelines. Travel will be required on a weekly basis between our different Office locations.

Key Actions
  • You will work with Data Engineering team to implement robust and trustworthy data to support high-performance kakfa streams and predictive models.
  • Deploy and maintain machine learning models as APIs for use in our live environments.
  • Employ a variety of languages and tools (e.g. scripting languages) to develop and manage robust data pipelines connecting various systems
  • You will help develop datasets and processes that facilitate data modelling, mining and production
  • Provide clean, usable data to data community and recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality.
  • You will have the chance to research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data

Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Sciences/Maths
  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, data management and data delivery, database and ETL technologies
  • Experience using languages / tools / databases such as SQL and NoSQL, Python.
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly GKE and Google BigQuery
  • Work with the data engineers and data scientist conveying the design and implementation for the programmes and ensuring adherence to the technology principles and processes.
  • You must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • You will have experience developing, deploying and maintaining machine learning APIs
