MIG Welder
Job title: Welder (MIG)
Pay: £14.50
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm
Friday 8am-2pm
Location: Huntingdon
Our client is looking for someone to join their fast growing business as a Junior Welder. No previous experience is necessary, they are looking to train and put their time/effort into someone.
- Quality welding of product as per specifications
- Reporting any issues re; welfare, production delays, machinery failures, materials issues to Supervisor
- Health & Safety in immediate work area in respect of self and others
- Raising issues with regard to H&S concerns and/or PPE failures
- Achieving production deliverables as directed by Supervisor
- Awareness and management of costs & waste
Job Description:
- Measure and align work pieces using straight-edges, clamp, and callipers
- Welding of steel & Aluminium products
- Carry out grinding operations
- Routine check of MIG/TIG welding equipment prior to use
- Operate the power and hand tools such as Saws , Grinders , guillotine & bending machine.
- Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements
- Relaying current progress to Supervisor
- Wear PPE as appropriate
- Maintain cleanliness of working areas including sorting/disposal of waste
