Job title: Welder (MIG)

Pay: £14.50

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm

Friday 8am-2pm

Location: Huntingdon

Our client is looking for someone to join their fast growing business as a Junior Welder. No previous experience is necessary, they are looking to train and put their time/effort into someone.

• Quality welding of product as per specifications
• Reporting any issues re; welfare, production delays, machinery failures, materials issues to Supervisor
• Health & Safety in immediate work area in respect of self and others
• Raising issues with regard to H&S concerns and/or PPE failures
• Achieving production deliverables as directed by Supervisor
• Awareness and management of costs & waste

Job Description:

• Measure and align work pieces using straight-edges, clamp, and callipers
• Welding of steel & Aluminium products
• Carry out grinding operations
• Routine check of MIG/TIG welding equipment prior to use
• Operate the power and hand tools such as Saws , Grinders , guillotine & bending machine.
• Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements
• Relaying current progress to Supervisor
• Wear PPE as appropriate
• Maintain cleanliness of working areas including sorting/disposal of waste
