Microsoft Applications Developer

We are urgently seeking a Microsoft Application Developer for a Global IT service Provider.

Length: 3 months

Location: Remote

We are looking for a Lead Microsoft Applications developer to help support and deliver a number of solutions to our customers using the Microsoft stack of Technologies. The role will involve working on well-established System Integration projects delivering mission critical Enterprise solutions to our customers. You will be joining an experienced team and helping to deliver key change controls within the account to delivering both innovation and business value. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the next generation cloud ready integration framework which is currently being developed inhouse by the Integration team. The role will provide an excellent environment for learning new technologies and working with skilled resources and growing your career.

This role will also include a level of business analysis responsibilities whereby the individual will work closely with the customer to understand their requirements clearly in order to determine how these impact on existing systems with the ability to scope change both from a technical and cost aspect

Skills required:

  • Experience of developing technology solutions for large, complex business change programmes
  • Experience of working on MS Azure Platform
  • Experience of MS DevOps (VSTS)
  • Experience of setting up a Continuous delivery and Integration pipeline including automated testing and deployment using Azure Devops.
  • Knowledge of Power Apps application development.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate development
  • Azure SQL Server (OLTP).
  • Developing API's using logic apps, azure functions and azure API-management.
  • Knowledge of Azure components including Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Logic Apps, Azure Automation, Azure Batch and Azure Service bus.
  • C# and PowerShell
  • Knowledge of using version control systems e.g. Git.
  • Automated Testing using BDD and TDD approach.
  • Provisioning automated secure cloud Infrastructure using tools such as ARM Templates/ Terraform.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Understanding of Agile, Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Passion for automation of Infrastructure. Repeatable patterns, pipelines, and security integrations.
  • Government Digital Services framework and service design standards.
  • Microsoft Azure platform and associated infrastructure architecture.
  • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Microservices , web services, including JSON and XML.
  • Variety of databases and programming languages, e.g. SQL Server, .NET, C#, Java.
  • Latest information technologies including their pros and cons in the context of large organisations.
  • Integration Architectures and patterns, including knowledge of Enterprise Service Bus.
  • Working knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, data migration and Big Data.
  • Good secure coding standards such as OWASP.
  • Auditing and monitoring approaches and tools.
