Microservices Consultant Contract

Rate: £400 Per day
Type: Outside IR35
Contract Duration: Initial 2-3 months
Reporting to: CTO
Location: Borehamwood / Hybrid

My client is looking for a Microservices Consultant, you will play a critical role in redefining our technology platform. You will conduct a comprehensive assessment of our current systems, provide insights on migration strategies from monolith to microservices architecture, and present recommendations to the board for additional resources needed.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct thorough assessment's on current systems and architecture.
* Provide expert guidance on migrating from monolith to microservices architecture.
* Collaborate with technical teams to define requirements and implementation plans.
* Present recommendations and proposals to the board for additional resources.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including board members, to convey project vision and secure funding.
* Lead and facilitate discussions and workshops with cross-functional teams.
* Develop project plans and timelines for migration initiatives.

Requirements:

* Extensive experience in software architecture, particularly in transitioning from monolith to microservices.
* Strong understanding of microservices principles, patterns, and best practices.
* Proven track record of successfully leading and managing migration projects.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Strategic thinking and the ability to provide actionable recommendations.
* Experience working in consultative roles, engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
* Project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans and timelines.
