Since starting in 2020, this company have grown quickly. They are a team of industry-leading scientists and engineers collaborating to develop antimicrobial coatings which can be used with a variety of applications.

They are about to have a rebrand, so this is an exciting time to join a team who are getting ready to revolutionise this marketplace.

We are looking for an experienced Microbiologist who enjoys working in a busy R&D team. The role would suit somebody looking to gain industrial experience and broaden their skills within a young and vibrant organisation.

The role is based in Haverhill, which is easily accessible from Cambridge.

The Role:

  • Carrying out testing of products
  • Sample analysis
  • Developing protocols in line with ISO/ASTM standards
  • Analysis & preparation of reports
  • Deliver presentations both internally and externally

About You:

  • PhD in Microbiology (or similar) or 4+ years' industrial experience
  • Broad Microbiological research experience including food related pathogens & mycology
  • Excellent aseptic technique & experience working in containment level 2 (CL2)
  • Knowledge & understanding of ISO & ASTM standards
  • Experience working with bacteria & fungus
  • Analytical
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Quick thinking & resourceful

What would give you the edge?

  • Any industrial experience in a Microbiology lab
  • Cell culture experience
  • Lab equipment maintenance experience

What is the package?

  • Salary of £35,000 - £40,000
  • Employee share scheme
