Seeking a highly qualified and dedicated MFL, Spanish teacher in Surrey!

A leading secondary school in Surrey is in search of a skilled and passionate teacher of KS3-KS4 Spanish (ideally with French) to join our team on a long-term, full-time temporary contract starting on 15th April 2024.

The successful candidate will be paid on the London Fringe scale (MPS-UPS) and will have the opportunity to work with a well-behaved student body and a highly experienced and professional team in the Modern Foreign Languages department.

The contract will be for the whole year.

The school is situated in a desirable catchment area (on the border of Croydon, S London) with excellent transport links and offers a manageable timetable, including ample PPA time and balanced teaching time for Spanish classes for students aged 11-16 with mixed ability levels.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic teacher to join a supportive and successful department.

As a secondary MFL teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Evaluating and monitoring student progress
  • Collaborating with other teachers and department members
  • Participating in department meetings and professional development opportunities
  • Advising and mentoring students and parents

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A degree in Modern Foreign Languages or related field
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • A proven track record of teaching KS3-KS4 MFL Spanish
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for teaching and a desire to inspire students
  • A valid DBS check or be willing to obtain one
