Job Title: Metrology Engineer

Salary: £34,000.00-£36,000.00

Job Type: Permanent

The Role

Our client is currently looking for a Metrology Engineer. The candidate would be responsible for raising and maintaining calibration standards relating to Aerospace manufacturing. This would include routine calibration, CMM programming and component measurement to first principles.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring Calibration readiness at point of use.
  • Monitoring and resolving calibration error frequency.
  • Helping to developing and supporting implementation of NPI project plans.
  • Undertaking production improvement initiatives.
  • Providing critical manufacturing support across all areas.
  • Producing first article inspection reports in conjunction with the quality department.

The Candidate

  • Previous experience in the field of dimensional measurement
  • Have a practical 'hands on' approach.
  • An understanding of CMM operation and programming
  • Solid IT skills with 3D CAD experience.
  • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, notes and specifications.
  • Excellent 3-Dimensional visualisation.
