E.ON is on track to double it's Industrial and Commercial (I&C) metering operations within the next few years. As part of our expansion, we are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our high performing, ring fenced team. We provide whole current, LV and HV CT metering and communications solutions to our I&C customers across the U.K.

We are currently looking for Meter Technicians who have excellent customer service skills and experience in single phase, 3 phase, LV or HV CT metering (Salary will recognise experience and progression is available).

If you are a qualified whole current meter technician and would be interested in upskilling to CT metering, this is your chance! We are offering the opportunity to upskill the right individuals within our internal Academy of Excellence.

Responsibilities include -

  • Working on whole current and CTO metering installations and associated comms equipment, following our codes of practice and safe working methods.
  • Conducting site investigations, supporting accurate and timely billing for our customers.
  • Delivering first class service to our internal and external industrial and commercial customers.
  • Contribute to a culture of honest open feedback, recognition, and continual improvement.

What we need from you

Essential

  • A minimum of 2 years single phase electric metering experience (Please apply to our novice position if you do not meet this).

  • A full valid UK/EU driving licence (preferably clean, but with a maximum of 6 points).

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Be self-motivated and take a proactive approach to self-development.

  • Have basic computer skills.


Desirable

  • Knowledge and understanding of single & three phase domestic and commercial electrical installations.

  • Have electrical knowledge or qualifications to carry out fault finding and on-site investigations, including use of specialist test equipment.

  • Experience of HV and or LV CTO metering

  • 'Working at heights' trained.
