E.ON is on track to double its Industrial and Commercial (I&C) metering operations within the next few years. As part of our expansion, we are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our high performing, ring fenced team. We provide metering and communications solutions to our I&C customers across the U.K.

We are currently on the lookout for applicants who have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service skills and are looking for a change in career into the energy sector as a Meter Technician. We are offering the opportunity to completely upskill the right individuals within our internal Academy of Excellence.

When you first start, you’ll undertake a training programme with a mix of classes at one of our first-class training facilities and working hands on in the field in your home area with a mentor as you work your way towards becoming qualified in electric metering.

What we need from you

Essential

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Be self-motivated and take a proactive approach to learning and self-development.
  • Have basic computer skills.
  • A full valid UK/EU driving licence (preferably clean, but with a maximum of 6 points).
  • Be flexible and willing to travel for work and training.

Desirable

  • Knowledge and understanding of domestic and or commercial electrical installations.
