Our client, a leading high street fashion footwear specialist, has an exciting opportunity for a Merchandiser to join their team in Central London on a 13 month contract. The head office team have drive and enthusiasm for fashion and footwear and the ranges they offer. This is an exciting opportunity for a Merchandiser to join the team within a fast-paced demanding retail environment!
You will manage the trading of the Ladies MTO department by planning future ranges to maximise sales opportunities and profit potential whilst minimising markdown spend. You will be managing and training three team members in line with departmental objectives. Other responsibilities include:
 
  • Producing and analysing weekly reports
  • Managing intake and exit margins
  • Planning promotions and markdowns for the department
  • Analysing past performance to build future strategies
  • Build relationships with other departments.
  • Training and development of the team in line with objectives
  • Contribute to meetings with senior management
  • Attend supplier meetings
