Our client is a well established menswear brand based in Central London, they are lookig to grow their team as such are looking for Merch Admin Assistant who will report to the Merchandiser, you will help support the merchandiser develop and deliver the merchandising plan which meets the company’s financial goals.

Job Scope: Merchandising Admin Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the merchandising department.

Their responsibilities revolve around ensuring the efficient and effective execution of merchandising strategies, administration and processes.

Data Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date product information, including pricing, and images on continuity, in NetSuite (ERP Sytsem)
  • Monitor inventory levels and update stock availability information as needed.
  • Seasonal and Continuity seasonal coding system maintenance
  • Managing re-coding to ensure OTB management and allocations are correct for the season.
  • Regular system cost review ensuring accurate inventory valuation by channel.

Assortment Planning:

  • Assist in analysing sales trends and customer preferences to help plan the assortment of products that will be offered.
  • Collaborate with the merchandiser to plan product ranges, considering factors like seasonality, key items, and target customer.
  • Build a history of best sellers by product category and key items, to help range build future ranges.
  • Assist the buyers and merchandiser with assortment planning by branch and category.

Purchase Orders and Replenishment

  • Generate purchase orders for products based on inventory levels, sales forecasts, and replenishment needs on Continuity.

Allocations & Inventory Management:

  • Weekly store allocations in line with planned min max levels, reviewing based on sales trends by channel
  • Leasing with Retail Operations for store allocations and stock requests
  • System stock review, allowing the movement of allocation between subsidiaries.
  • Monitor inventory turnover and identify slow-moving or overstocked items, for promotion or rotation.
  • Supporting the merchandiser with markdowns and price checking across multiple systems and platforms

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Support the merchandiser with weekly/monthly trade reports and distribute to the wider business.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports, performance metrics, and other data-driven insights for the merchandising team.
  • Contribute to analysing sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Communication:

  • Maintain clear communication channels with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Respond to inquiries from both Retail and other internal stakeholders regarding product information, availability, and allocation queries.

Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to the merchandiser and team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing documents.

Market Research

  • Keep track of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform merchandising decisions.

Product Launch Support:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of new product launches, inline with company calendar and marketing plan.
  • Setting up store min-max levels by channel Continuity and Seasonal pre season to allow a balanced range in store

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with various departments such as marketing, retail, operations and logistics to ensure smooth coordination of merchandising activities.

Ad Hoc Tasks

  • Assist the merchandising team with any other tasks or projects as needed to support business goals.

A successful Merchandising Admin Assistant should be detail-oriented, well-organized, and have strong communication skills. They play a vital role in the overall merchandising process, helping to ensure that the right products are available to customers at the right time and in the right quantities.
