Location: Blackburn
Pay Rate: £85 - £101 per day
We are currently seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to work in an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Blackburn. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to students who have been diagnosed with mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one support to students with mental health conditions, including those with complex needs
- Developing and implementing individualised support plans for students
- Collaborating with other members of the school staff, including teachers and counsellors, to support students' mental health and well-being
- Advocating for students' needs and rights
- Promoting positive behaviour and healthy coping strategies
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children and young people with mental health conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of mental health conditions and their impact on learning and behaviour
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid DBS check
