Paysclae : £125-£145 per day
Monday- Friday | 08:30-03:30
Start Date: ASAP Until The End Of The School Year
LTF Recruitment are delighted to be working with an alternative education provision, who through social, emotional or behavioural difficulties are unable to access or are unsuited to mainstream education and are seeking alternative ways to achieve.
As Tutor you will be working with a Mechanics Mentor; supporting learners to work towards their Level 1 Motor Vehicle Studies Qualification. Sector experience in mechanics is essential. You will be delivering to small groups on topics such as Health & Safety, Spark Ignition Power Units, Steering and Suspension and other introductory topics .
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- To plan and deliver daily activities to promote and enhance learner knowledge.
- Keeping up to date with marking and the recording of student progress
- Implement positive behavioural strategies.
- Facilitate inductions for new students and be a point of contact for any concerns.
- Support learners to engage in behaviour change to realise their academic potential.
- Supporting pupils within a mentoring capacity both in and out of the classroom environment
- To carry out student reviews/reports
Qualification/Training
- Sector experience withing the Mechanics industry
- Teaching qualification or equivalent to PTTLS certification
- Experience working with challenging behaviour.
- Experience working with young people within a sport, education or youth work setting.
