ROLE- Mechanical Test Technician


LOCATION- Buckinghamshire


TERM- Permanent


SALARY- £30,000-£38,000 per annum, depending on experience

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Mechanical Test Technician, who is eager to step up into a Product Development position, to join their team in Buckinghamshire on a permanent basis.

The Test Technician will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Experienced in a technical and hands-on Engineering position
  • Knowledge of compliance and testing
  • A background in Manufacture
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to read engineering drawings and BOMs
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient using MS Office
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
  • Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team


The Test Technician role will involve:
  • Mechanical testing and manufacture of a variety of components and equipment
  • Developing new and existing products
  • Handling compliance and test specifications
  • Working to procedures and instructions
  • Assisting the quality team with functional and visual inspection
  • Working to procedures and compliance standards
  • Testing, fault-finding and repair
  • Using CAD to produce technical drawings, reading, annotating, creating jigs, fixtures, and testing apparatus
  • Working both independently and in a team
  • Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
