Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who is looking to add a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the Inverkeithing area of Fife.

Hours: Monday – Friday 7.30am – 5pm

Salary: £38K – £42K

Daily Duties –

• Maintaining and repairing industrial metal shredder, plant machinery e.g. cranes, and industrial shears
• Replacing and/or repairing metal hammers and plates within the shredder by cutting out and welding to avoid long downtimes
• Update maintenance log when required
• Adhering to health and safety procedures within the workshop

Candidates Requirements –

• Experience with welding e.g. TIG, MIG, or Stick (no codings required)
• Previous experience within heavy industry or scrap metal
• Mechanical maintenance experience
• Driving Licence
