Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a reputable manufacturing company looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their facility in Sheffield with immediate effect.

• Salary - £26.500 - £30,000
• Monday to Thursday 8:00am till 4.30pm Friday 8:00am till 1:00pm 
• Holidays are 25 days plus stats

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults and carrying out repairs to maximise production output and plant availability 
• Ensure all PPM activity is carried out
• Determine whether parts need to be purchased from suppliers or produced in house
• Carry out general maintenance of the site such as oiling and greasing and maintaining existing jigs and fixtures
• Adhering to existing working practices, methods, procedures and identify improvements
• Work in accordance with safe systems of work, ensuring health and safety standards are always adhered to.

We are keen to speak with A Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with the following:

• Time served experience within a manufacturing environment
• Apprentice trained with NVQ Level 3/ City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering (preferable)
• Team player attitude
• Strong mechanical knowledge with some electrical knowledge 
• Safety conscious
