Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Rotating, Week 1/Days - Monday to Thursday 6am-6pm, Week 2/Nights - Monday to Thursday 6pm

Annual Salary between £35,000 to £37,000

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work with our client who is a leading manufacturing business within the drinks industry.

Day to Day Duties

The purpose of this role is minimise disruption to production through timely repair of breakdowns and planned, preventative maintenance.

Daily Duties Include:

  •  Investigate and Repair mechanical and electrical faults
  •  Ensure delivery of planned and preventative maintenance schedule
  •  Work with internal departments to ensure safe installation and commissioning of new plant and machinery
  •  Research to understand common faults and their causes
  •  Ability to read, understand, generate technical, electrical and P&I drawings.

Essential Skills

  •  Time served completion of a relevant apprenticeship or an HNC
  •  Experienced in all aspects of mechanical maintenance, preferably gained within a similar environment.
  •  Lone and team working capability

Desirable Experience

  •  IOSH Health and safety experience
  •  FLT Certificate is desirable
  •  Computer literate with experience in MS packages

What training is provided?

  • A full site paid induction will be held on Day 1.
