Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Full- time, Permanent ( Day Shift) 

I am working with a well-established client based in Derby who are looking for a well versed, mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This role has the oppotunity to  progress into the Maintenance Supervisor. The main objective will be to ensure that all PPM & RPM is carried out across the site, a majority of work will cover the maintenance of a variety of CNC machinery.

The individual they are looking form will need to have a pro-active approach to reactive maintenance activities across the company’s manufacturing facilities.

Job Description
• Installing & commissioning new equipment on site to the required standards and specifications.
• Actively diagnose faults found on various plant equipment as and when required and be proactive in rectifying the issue.
• Ensure start up procedures are performed following the repair of any plant or equipment.
• Ensure any mechanical work is carried out within the level of competence.
• Responsibility for the procurement of any spare part requirements, including communicationwith suppliers and the raising of purchase orders.

Qualifications / Essential Experience
• NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline
• Experience of maintenance on CNC Machine Tools, hydraulics and pneumatics 
• Minimum of 3 years’ maintenance experience
• Ability to read technical drawings.
