We are working in partnership with a well-established pump rental provider in the UK, who are a global leader in the manufacture of high quality pumps and we are seeking a Mechanical Installation Supervisors to join their Field-based teams in Birmingham, West Midands.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Engineer, Supervisor or Manager with a background in either Commercial or Industrial environments to be a part of a stable Mobile-team in a position that will be responsible for the execution of projects, methodology and team supervision of all employees including sub-contractors, during on-site pumping installations, ensuring a culture of safety whilst delivery and high-quality service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage solution projects from start to finish, collaborating with the Solutions Team.
  • Coordinate with the Installation Manager to provide updates on installation progress, identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Implement and oversee the on-site RAMS process, ensuring all risks are identified, control measures are in place, and all involved parties understand the installation procedures.
  • Supervise daily activities of Installation Operatives and other staff, including subcontractors, ensuring project completion.
  • Train and manage direct reports, ensuring effective management and motivation of Installation Operatives.
  • Lead and develop staff, demonstrating confidence and expertise in guiding both direct and indirect reports.
  • Assist in vehicle loading/unloading, ensuring accuracy against paperwork and noting discrepancies or damages.
  • Uphold and exceed on-site safety standards, meeting internal and customer expectations.
  • Ensure customer KPIs are met to full satisfaction.
  • Report any safety concerns to the Installation Manager immediately.
  • Communicate changes in methodology to Sales and/or Solutions Manager as needed.
  • Advise customers and internal teams, fostering teamwork for efficient and effective solutions.
  • Develop client relationships, building trust in our products, services, and brand.
  • Identify and suggest innovative solutions and improvements for unique and efficient business operations.
  • Continuously improve QHSE standards, ensuring adherence to all internal and external procedures and legal requirements.
  • Comply with company QHSE procedures at all times.
  • Promote the company's mission and core values, ensuring uniformity in business strategy across the UK.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within water industry, construction, or Oil & Gas.
  • SSSTS certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of site Health & Safety compliance.
  • Experience working on client sites, including construction or water-related environments.
  • Hands-on approach, committed to timely, high-quality job completion.
  • Skilled in building relationships with Installation Operatives and staff in challenging situations.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and delays with a calm, positive mindset.
  • Flexible working hours, participation in on-call rotation, and ability to work late or travel as needed.
  • Formal qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Site Supervision or equivalent experience
  • Any formal H&S training to IOSH Managing Safety certification is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).

Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 + Overtime & On-call allowance + Company Vehicle

Hours: Full-Time Monday - Friday

Start: Notice Dependant
