Our client, an industry leading, technology led engineering company, are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join their Quality team.

As a Mechanical Inspector, you will be responsible for examining, assessing, and verifying the quality and functionality of their bespoke components. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring that their products meet industry standards and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complete inspections in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct measurements using precision instruments such as: micrometres, vernier callipers, dial test indicators, height gauges and coordinate measuring machines.
  • Record and document inspection results, report findings to the Quality Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager and relevant production departments to address quality issues.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a quality led mechanical engineering environment
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings including GD&T
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Working 38 hours Monday-Thursday 07.30-1600 and Friday 07.30-13.30 you will receive a competitive salary alongside 25 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays.
