Job title: Mechanical Fitter

Job location: Widnes

Days: £22.18 per hour (First 12 weeks)- Rises to £22.68 (Umbrella)

Hours per week: 37 hours per week

Duration: 6 - 12 months

Start date: Immediate

Client Summary:
Working for Alstom - The UKs leading manufacturer and front line supplier of powertrain products and rolling stock based in the UK and Ireland. Areas of operation include Motor and Rotor overhaul as well as switchgear and VCBs overhaul / refurbishment of Jubilee Line Underground trains.

Position Summary:
Bench fitting components within the Rail industry. You will be working in teams to assemble Switchgear systems for passenger rolling stock

Roles can include:
* Switchgear components building.
* Bench Fitting
* Assembly and fitting of components and modules
* Working from engineering drawings to replace and refit components.

Person Profile/Experience:
* A strong mechanical background is required.
* People from HGV / large engine's / rolling stock assembly / REME / automation etc. backgrounds ideal.
* Good attitude and willing to work flexibly (overtime available)

Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 (or similar in engineering)
