Do you have a strong background in mechanical fitting? Are you looking to join a progressive global manufacturing business?  My client is a well-established manufacturing business that supply into the construction industry, in addition to designing and manufacturing their own machinery. They are looking for a junior and senior mechanical fitter to join their expanding team, the ideal candidate will have previous mechanical experience within a relevant engineering field.

Monday – Thursday 7:30am – 4pm, Friday 7:30am – 3pm

Salary dependant on experience

Job Description

  • Build a range of heavy-duty machinery from start to finish
  • Post-build testing of completed machinery and subsections of machinery.
  • Working from drawings you will be required to assemble precision bearings and work with fits & limits in a range of applications.
  • Use manual machines to modify/correct parts

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • A mechanical engineering qualification or time served
  • Strong mechanical machine building/assembly experience
  • Able to interpret mechanical engineering drawings
  • Machine build experience, along with a background of the assembly and sub-assembly of mechanical parts
