Job Title: Mechanical Fitter.
Location: Outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
Shifts: Rotating mornings and afternoons
Salary: £24.32 per hour (Umbrella) / £19 per hour (PAYE), dependent on experience

This position offers a long-term contract with the potential for permanent employment in the future for those interested in long-term growth.

Role Overview:
Join our team on a locomotive conversion project where you will be engaged in hands-on mechanical work, including the replacement and modification of mechanical parts such as coolant pipework. This role requires working on alternating shifts, one week in the morning and the next in the afternoon.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* Prior experience with locomotives is not mandatory, but experience with trains or other vehicles is highly advantageous.
* NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical field is ideal, though relevant experience will also be considered.
* Looking for a candidate who is dedicated to quality, proactive, and able to work independently.
* Must be conscious of safety and comfortable working in a safety-critical setting.
* Candidates from various mechanical backgrounds, especially those with vehicle experience, are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours:
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with potential for occasional overtime at time and a half. Shifts include an Early shift (06:00 to 14:30) and a Late shift (14:00 to 22:30).
