Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in estimating mechanical projects, with a focus on HVAC, process systems, utilities, and cleanroom technologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced estimator to contribute to the success of diverse projects while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical projects, including HVAC systems, process systems, utilities, and cleanrooms.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to identify project requirements and constraints.
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive quotations for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Analyze cost data and labor requirements to develop detailed estimates, including labor, material, and overhead costs.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop value engineering solutions and alternative cost-saving options.
  • Present estimates to clients and stakeholders and address any queries or concerns.
  • Participate in bid clarification meetings and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the estimating process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, ideally specializing in HVAC, process systems, utilities, and cleanroom technologies.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including compressed air, HVAC, steam and condensate, and plant utilities.
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
