The company:
Based in South Essex, you will be joining a purpose-built design and engineering premises for chemical manufacturing feeding into a wide range of industries. Due to continuous growth and expansion of the premises, they are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

The main role of the Mechanical Design Engineer will be to produce mechanical design/drawings for the mechanical systems and equipment, working in a close-knitted team of mechanical design engineers overseen by the drawing office manager.

All mechanical design work is done on site, including Layout design, Enclosure design, General mechanical design and more. The mechanical Design engineer will be at the forefront of draughting designs from customer specifications whilst also working alongside the relevant teams during the manufacturing process.

Skills and Experience required:

• Experience working in an industrial/design environment with Autodesk products such as AutoCAD (2D) Inventor (3D) etc. Other 3D CAD Packages can be considered, such as SolidWorks.
• Completed a relevant engineering qualification.
• Good understanding of engineering techniques, including machinery, sheet metal etc.
• Able to read, work to and produce assembly drawings.
