JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION- Manchester
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (plus benefits)

One of my top clients in the Manchester area is looking to expand their design team by taking on a Mechanical Design Engineer to work with them on some amazing projects. My client is a manufacturer of specialist equipment for a variety of sectors. They’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team near Manchester on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Design Engineerwill ideally have the following attributes:
  • Knowledge/ Experience of Mechanical Design
  • Engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, BSc etc.) in Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent 3D cad skills - preferably Solidworks 
  • hydraulics experience 
  • Mechanical manufacturing environment 
  • Sheet metal design 
  • machine design experience 

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
  • Producing engineering documents in line with contracts and projects
  • Producing 3D designs using CAD software
  • Generating the BOM’s to go with the associated designs
  • Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
