JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION- York
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (plus benefits)

One of my top clients in the York area is looking to expand their design team by taking on a Mechanical Design Engineer to work with them on some amazing projects. My client designs products and accessories for the automotive sectors and are the best in their field. Over 10 years of design and manufacturing experience has led to this incredible design and is unmatched in the industry.

The Mechanical Design Engineerwill ideally have the following attributes:

  • Knowledge/ Experience of Mechanical Design
  • Engineering qualification (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, BSc etc.) in Mechanical Engineering
  • Excellent 3D CAD skills (Solidworks)
  • Automotive design experience 
  • Manufacturing processes 

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

  • Working within the current engineering team
  • Producing engineering documents in line with contracts and projects
  • Producing 3D designs using CAD software
  • Generating the BOM’s to go with the associated designs
  • Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
