Our client, a market leading design and manufacturer of bespoke machinery, has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically minded design engineer. With continued high levels of research and development, the company is consistently at the forefront of new technology and its equipment is highly regarded within the industry. You will be involved in the full design process of new projects and instrumental in all aspects of new product development. Working on a variety of exciting new design assignments this role offers an unrivalled chance for product variation and new technology design. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate looking for a technically challenging role within a globally recognised organisation.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical design, assembly and fitting
  • You will produce and check mechanical drawings. Working with electrical design and software engineers you will ensure the mechanical design meets the necessary customer needs.
  • You will provide technical support for production staff, sub contract/outsource partners, service department, service engineers and customers. You will produce part and assembly drawings to support the manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • 2D/3D AutoCAD and Solid Works

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Printing Experience (Advantageous)
  • HNC/HND in Engineering related subject
  • Time Served or Apprentice Trained
  • IT skills
  • Good communication skills
