Mechanical Design Engineer – Midlands - £45k-£55k
We are looking for a bright Mechanical Design Engineer to join one of the UK`s leading product design companies in Midlands. The company is focusing on developing award-winning products and provide services for clients across sectors including healthcare, consumer products, industrial and scientific. As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be working in a close collaboration with different teams being responsible for equipment which requires creativity and an analytical approach. You will be joining an exceptionally gifted, enthusiastic group of Design Engineers coming up with cutting edge solutions and designs for the next generation of technology products.
As the Mechanical Engineer you will be
  • Understanding a problem and creating concepts
  • Mechanical design
  • Prototyping and testing
  • Design for manufacture and assembly
  • Reporting on work and presenting to clients.
  • Involvement in taking new opportunities and developing them into business opportunities.
  
Requirements
  • Minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or related subject
  • Commercial experience in Mechanical Engineering from a system or product design perspective, from concept, through to detail design, to scale-up and manufacturing
  • High level of proficiency in 3D CAD systems; experience and knowledge of FEA modelling, low volume rapid prototyping, injection moulding.
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly processes and good DFMA skills
  • Understanding of quality control and risk management
  • An enthusiasm for innovation and the tenacity to succeed.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.


 Vacancy Location: Warwickshire (commutable from Banbury, Northampton, Coventry, Worcester, Stratford-upon-Avon, Leicester, Birmingham)
