Are you an experienced Design Engineer? Are you used to working in a fast-paced environment?
We are partnered with a market leading engineering company in Suffolk.
Due to the high demand of their product and exciting new products coming into their lineup, they are looking for another skilled Design Engineer to join their team.

Mechanical Design Engineer
Role and Responsibilities

• Designing user-focused machinery for manual, semi-automated or PLC control

• Creating 3D CAD models and 2D detail drawings of new parts, fabrications and assemblies

• Creating clear and accurate technical documentation necessary for the specification, manufacture, assembly, testing and support of machinery throughout product lifecycle

• Designing and conducting practical functional tests, reliability tests and user trials

• Investigating change requests using a thorough and methodical approach

Desired Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role designing product or industrial equipment for small to medium production volumes

• Excellent 3D CAD skills 

• Sound knowledge of MRP, BOMs and product data management systems

• Familiar with design for assembly and design for serviceability

• Previous experience of designing for compliance requirements
