Job Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Area: Medway Towns

Salary: £55k - £60k

My client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Design Manager. It is essential you have experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing the technical mechanical design of assigned projects.
  • Produce MEP designs, calculations & specifications using relevant software provided.
  • Monitor the production of drawings to ensure timescales are met & QA once complete to ensure technical accuracy & consistency.
  • Undertake initial design site surveys, including use of Lidar scan to capture all relevant information for CAD draughtsman & internal design team to utilise throughout design process.
  • Produce energy modelling assessments and presentations as required.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Produce energy modelling assessments and presentations.
  • Experience in relevant design software, such as Revit, Hevacomp, AutoCAD
  • Understanding of current Building Regulations & accredited services: CIBSE, ASHRAE
  • Ability to plan & prioritise workload to meet deadlines
