Mechanical Design Engineer

My client is a specialist manufacture of products that are used with the aerospace and turbine industry sectors, and they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will gather design specifications from clients, manage design projects from initial concept to delivery and produce detailed designs using Siemens NX.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities;

  • Manage design projects from initial concept to delivery
  • Provide technical support to clients and to the wider engineering team
  • Produce detailed designs using Siemens NX
  • Compile and maintain Bill of Materials, and cost models
  • Liaise with CNC Programmers & toolmakers
  • Produce technical supporting documentation
  • Liaising with clients and suppliers
  • Creating 2D and 3D designs

Mechanical Design Engineer Experience;

  • HND or Degree-qualified within a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Previous experience working within Design Engineering position
  • Experience in managing design projects from initial concept to delivery
  • Experience using Siemens NX (Unigraphics) design software would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
