We have a thriving co-educational Academy looking for a Lead in Maths. The school is deeply embedded in the local community. Recognised as “good” by Ofsted and consistently oversubscribed and pride themselves on their high-quality teaching, learning, and enrichment programmes. We are looking for an experienced and passionate KS5 Lead in Maths to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will contribute to a supportive and stimulating environment and uphold our high expectations of achievement for all students.

Day to day of the role:
  • Teach and inspire students with engaging Maths lessons.
  • Lead the Maths department’s Key Stage 5 curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are maintained.
  • Develop and enhance the teaching practice of others within the department.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
  • Contribute to the design and provision of an engaging Maths curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to foster a spirit of continuous improvement and professional development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong subject knowledge of Maths.
  • Proven experience in teaching Maths, with a track record of success.
  • Ability to lead and inspire both students and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for Maths and education.
