Maths Teacher

Location: NG17

Daily Pay: £140 - £210

Days: 5 Days, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Fixed Term, until July 2024 with permanent opportunity

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons to both KS3 and KS4
  • Differentiating lesson content to meet a wide range of students needs and abilities
  • Delivering KS4 examination content in line with the school examination board
  • Assessing children's work against the school's assessment framework
  • Liaising with the school SENCO around the progress of children with special educational needs
  • Attending weekly department meetings to help drive forward the schools attainment levels
  • Being involved with the school pastoral system, taking ownership of a form/tutor group and delivering the schools pastoral curriculum

Candidate Requirements:

  • Holds qualified teacher status (ECTs Welcome).
  • Is confident teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum (KS5 not essential).
  • Has excellent classroom control and behaviour management strategies.
  • Is passionate about teaching and keen to ensure that students make continued progress.
  • Is a good team player and willing to work cohesively with the departmental and pastoral team.
