Teacher of Mathematics

Prospero Teaching are working with a secondary school in St Helens who are seeking to appoint a skilled, enthusiastic and ambitious teacher of Mathematics. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Mathematics across the age and ability range.

An enthusiastic, committed and well-qualified Mathematics teacher required to join a successful, hardworking and forward-thinking Mathematics Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with outstanding skills to join a group of professionals who are having an impact on the learning of the young people in their care. The Mathematics department is committed to making a difference to the lives of young people.

The successful candidate will be able to deliver Mathematics at both Key stages and evidence a flexibility to contribute to the overall development of the department.

KS4 GCSE, OCR Mathematics is offered.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS:

  • Minimum rate of pay - from £150 per day
  • Hours - 8:15am - 4pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Mathematics (however, it is not essential that it is Maths related)
  • Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, QTS, etc) in Maths
  • Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
  • Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
  • Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80
  • Provide a minimum of two professional references
