We are seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a supportive school in Wakefield. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator with a passion for teaching Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role is full-time and available for at least one term, starting in April 2024.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in Maths to students in KS3 and KS4.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to varying levels of ability.
- Assess and record students’ progress and provide grades and feedback.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by school regulations.
- Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven ability to teach Maths across KS3 and KS4.
- Ambitious and enthusiastic about delivering the subject.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure
