Maths Teacher – SEMH School – September 2024
Maths Teacher required to teach small classes students with SEMH needs at this outstanding alternative provision. Are you a QTS Maths Teacher who enjoys breaking down barriers to learning and making maths accessible for students? This excellent SEMH school is looking to add an experienced and motivated Maths Teacher to the team for September 2024.

As a Maths Teacher at this school, you will be teaching classes of no more than 8 students with a variety of SEMH needs and dome challenging behaviours. You will be supported by an experienced team of behaviour mentors and TA’s who proved 1-2-1 support and mentoring for students. Facilities are excellent and the school feels welcoming, the leadership team are proactive and provide on call support, helping to manage behaviours when required. Students at this school generally want to learn, however sometimes require a little more support and guidance. This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths Teacher who has already worked in an SEMH setting, or a Maths Teacher looking for a change from the monotony of mainstream teaching.

Responsibilities of the Maths Teacher role include:
  • Teaching Maths to small classes of KS3 and KS4 students with SEMH needs.
  • Breaking down academic barriers and promoting a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Making Maths interesting and relevant to students who may have become disengaged with education.
  • Collaborating with experienced Teaching Assistants to provide tailored support and intervention.
