A Level Maths and Further Maths Lecturer required in Stockport

Type: Sixth Form

Salary: £150- £190 per day

A popular Sixth Form College in the Stockport area are seeking an A Level Maths and Further Maths Lecturuer to start on the 15th April until 24th May in the first instance. Applicants must have a relevant degree and experience teaching Maths at A Level.

Teaching hours: 23.75 per week

Monday - 6.0 hours

Tuesday - 4.5 hours

Wednesday - 5.0 hours

Thursday - 5.0 hours

Friday - 3.25 hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons to inspire and challenge students.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that caters to diverse student needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and school programs.
  • Effectively manage challenging behavior in the classroom and create a positive learning atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for Maths and Further Maths, with the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
  • Experience working with challenging behavior within a secondary school setting is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues.
  • NQTs are encouraged to apply, and support will be provided for professional development.
