Randstad is presently seeking Secondary Education mathematics Teachers to join our team in supporting a school situated in Wigan. This position commences in April post-half term, extending into the summer holidays on a long-term basis. Subsequently, there will be a review in the summer, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to continue into September.

Job Title: Secondary Education Mathematics Teacher

Location: Wigan

Start Date: April 2024 (Post half-term)

End Date: July 2024 (Potential continuation in September for the new academic year)

Pay Rate: £140.00 - £230.00 per day

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the curriculum
  • Uphold punctuality and reliability
  • Deliver well-planned, challenging, and purposeful lessons to assigned classes
  • Encourage self-directed learning and integrate technology to support education
  • Utilise assessment data to inform lesson planning
  • Assign and promptly evaluate homework
  • Ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences
  • Address immediate issues/emergencies in accordance with school policies and procedures
  • Provide effective responses to inquiries
