Materials Planner

Matthew James Recruitment Ltd are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Planner to join our clients team. As a Material Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our supply chain. You will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing inventory levels to meet production demands. Salary- £25-£27,000

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement material planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and ensure on-time delivery of materials
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to identify potential shortages or excesses
- Coordinate with production teams to understand material requirements and ensure timely availability
- Utilize Oracle EBS or other systems to track material orders, shipments, and receipts
- Conduct regular audits of inventory accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- Work closely with logistics teams to coordinate the movement of materials between suppliers, warehouses, and production facilities
- Continuously evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Material Planner or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and practices
- Proficiency in using Oracle EBS or other similar systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
