Material Development Engineer| Retford | Salary - £45000 - £55000
Cherry Professional are currently working with a well established and Engineering and Manufacturing company. As the Material Development Engineer you will be responsible for the specification, development, and implementation of new material technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing and establishing new manufacturing and testing processes
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and business regulations
  • Designing, organizing, and executing material development and qualification programs in customer specific applications
  • Collecting, recording, collating, maintaining, and analyzing of material properties, derived from experimental data
  • Applying materials expertise (polymers in particular) to assigned products
  • Technical communication with customers/suppliers in support of business development or sales activity
  • Developing new polymer-based products and continuous improvement of existing products and processes
  • Utilising specialist knowledge to deliver strategic projects (e.g., vibration and acoustic absorption)

Ideal Candidate:
  • Involvement in Polymer and elastomer technology – materials and equipment Materials development - desirable
  • Understanding of Acoustic attenuation -desirable
  • Understanding of MRP systems
  • University Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in a Manufacturing / Engineering environment - desirable
