Master Scheduler
The Company

Working within the manufacturing industry, we are looking for a Master Scheduler to join them. This is a new role that has been created to support the growth of the business.
The Role
As the Master Scheduler, your main purpose is to ensure that all objectives of the business relating to customer satisfaction, quality and cost control are achieved. This will be done via the effective scheduling of materials and production in line with the agreed operations plan developed via the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Sales & Operations Plan (SOP).
- Manage and execute the output of the MRP module of the ERP system to ensure accurate and timely materials scheduling.
- Deal directly with suppliers to ensure the highest levels of procured material availability, managing due dates of P.O’s and schedules.
- Liaise closely with the Group Planning & Purchasing Manager to ensure the most beneficial buying conditions are in place. (Supplier lead times, pricing, batch sizes).
- Collaborate with the Customer Service function to ensure that order promise dates are accurate. Dealing with any requests from the team (QLT/Cancel & amendments).
- Liaise with Purchasing, Warehousing & Production to ensure manufacturing schedules are able to start on time and can be executed fully and effectively to plan.
- Liaise with Group Transport Manager to ensure that product is available for shipment and a steady flow is maintained through the warehouses.
- Working closely with Head of Operations defining capacity planning/training criteria.
- Leading the SOP forum, including defining/communicating current lead times.
- Ensure that purchasing and production data on ERP system is accurate and is proactively audited, adjusted in line with changing circumstances.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets/databases relating to supplier performance indicators, material pricing, free issue materials tracking and sub-contractor material usage data.
- Collaborate with all functions to optimise the timing and actioning of BoM changes resulting from Specification Change Notes.
About You
We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role, and who can bring the following attributes and in-depth knowledge of the following:
- MRPII & ERP systems
- MS Excel - experienced / advanced user. (Pivot tables, look-ups, functions)
- Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) preferred but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly analytical and detail orientated.
- Able to question when something doesn’t look right.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

- Salary £40,000pa.
- Mon - Fri, Site based, Princes Risborough HP27.
