MASH - Social Worker

£35.00 - £45.00 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Social Worker to join our dynamic team. The MASH Social Worker will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and families within our community. This role requires a keen understanding of child protection protocols, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of referrals received from various agencies.
• Collaborating with police, health professionals, schools, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information.
• Making timely and accurate decisions regarding the level of intervention required to safeguard children.
• Providing support and guidance to families in crisis situations..
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments and interventions.
• Participating in case conferences and strategy meetings to ensure the safety and well-being of children.

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Previous experience working in a MASH or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and procedures.
• Excellent assessment and analytical skills.
• Strong team-working skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a demanding caseload.
