Marketing Automation – CRM Account Director - Presales
Location: London, Hybrid – typically in office twice a week. With offices located close to Tower Bridge
Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 plus benefits

This is a presales proof of concept for CRM and marketing automation, working on behalf of a global marketing agency with a rather unique offering in the CRM and customer loyalty ecosystem.

They’re a £1.7bn organisation with the operating ethos of a start-up. Fast paced, dynamic, always pushing boundaries and testing limits. Looking for opportunities to innovate and drive new ways of thinking for clients.

This role sits within the pre-sales team and is a solo contributor position.

You will be working closely with the sales function, but this is not a sales role. You are the subject matter expert in all things CRM and marketing automation. Brought in to engage with prospect clients, understand their challenges and consult.

Shaping out proof of concepts, tests and trials. As well as getting involved in the RFP stages, pulling together proposals which will involve getting other teams aligned and behind client objectives and requirements. Then presenting those proposals to clients, along with recommendations and actions.

Showcasing what the agency is able to deliver for them and expected outcomes. How these will improve customer engagement, drive enhancements to CLTV, retention and improve business outcomes. Solving the client’s issues.

The end game is to successfully turn these into consultancy projects and proof of concept tests, which in turn then move to become larger-scale, multi-year engagements with the agency typically taking on large chunks of the client’s CRM, loyalty or customer engagement challenges.

Helping clients mature their understanding about what loyalty really is for their customers and how to successfully activate and gain value from it within their businesses.

The typically challenges you will face in this role will vary, as the clients themselves will differ in their own maturity and understanding of both CRM, marketing automation, appreciation and adoption of martech as well as successfully commercial application of loyalty propositions within their businesses.

Inevitably they will each face challenges of some sort, and you will be the specialist in the room to help solve and overcome those issues.

The working set up here is a hybrid working style, contracted to be 2 days in office a week. But following a settling in period, that can be relaxed to a minimum of 1 day in a week. However it’s worth noting this role will have an aspect of travel associated to it, and it could also include international travel too. Since the team you’ll be joining covers EMEA regions, and there is growing prospect interest coming from outside the UK at the moment with a number of potential clients.

Experience needed

  • Got to have a good understanding from either agency or consulting type backgrounds within CRM and marketing automation
  • Knowledgeable about at least one of the big martech MA platforms from a technical perspective – e.g. SFMC, Braze, Adobe, etc.
  • You understand the methodology behind it all – so are able to write proposals for how martech works underneath a CRM programme and marketing services over the top
  • Some knowledge and experience within comms planning would be ideal
  • If you’ve had experience within the loyalty space before, that would be the cherry on top – but this is also something they’ve said they’re able to provide training for in role.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, fast paced environments which involves a lot of project management and needing to align and bring together people from across a complex business in order to achieve objectives.

**Able to live and work in the UK unrestricted.**
