Marine Operations Manager

Cardiff Cruises is expanding its boat operations for members of the public to sail onboard our boats. As such we now have a new position to assist the Managing Director manage our fleet of passenger boats, hire boats and jet boats.

• Working on our boats as a skipper

• The role will involve overseeing the ongoing maintenance of our vessels
• Recruitment, Training & Management of all staff
• Ensuring our vessels are always ready to work and maintain their MCA coding status

The ideal candidate will have marine engineering experience and will be able to demonstrate leadership of teams of people who have a range of different backgrounds, skills and experiences whilst working at sea on the inland waterways. Experience of working with the MCA and familiarity of boat surveys and inspections is desirable as is a current STCW/Boatmaster License/Advanced Powerboat with endorsements, although these are not essential.

Our operations are seasonal, essentially we are busy when other people are on holiday and as such this contract will have annualised hours.
